Fortius Physical Therapy began in New York in 2008. In 2012, we opened our New Jersey practice in Moorestown! We offer personalized therapy in a friendly and comfortable environment in our Moorestown office. We try to make utilizing our services convenient for our patients as we offer hours early morning, midday, and after work. We are conveniently located on Main street. We are within a half mile of the intersection of I-295 and route 38. Jim Trakis is the therapist at our Moorestown location. He keeps the rehabilitative process efficient and positive. With over twelve years of experience, Jim is committed to providing the highest quality of patient first care. Our support staff is enthusiastic about making your experience at Fortius hassle free. They take care of everything from making sure you understand your insurance benefits to making you a vitamin drink and playing your favorite song (come in on Friday’s if you like 80’s music!).
In addition to physical therapy we offer one on one sports conditioning and injury prevention programs for athletes at the Moorestown location. We provide gait evaluations for runners at our Moorestown location and falls prevention evaluations for individuals with balance impairments, as well. We are also proud to coordinate off-season conditioning/ injury prevention programs for baseball players at the Moorestown Friends School and on individual basis for overhead athletes in the area. Dr. Jim Trakis has been in the physical therapy/ sports medicine field since 2003. He graduated from Gettysburg College with a BA in Biology in 2000, and completed his doctoral degree in physical therapy at Drexel University thereafter. As part of his training, he completed an extended clinical internship specializing in the application of manual physical therapy techniques. Jim has since garnered over 20 years of experience treating orthopedic and sports medicine related injuries.
He specializes in understanding how your injury affects your life and generating the most specific rehabilitative program for you. He is also a Graston trained clinician and routinely uses video analysis software to help diagnose movement dysfunction in patients as part of his repertoire.
